Obama's dept of Injustice fines a county sheriff's office for failing to hire *non-citizens* !

A month ago I posted about a "finding" by the emperor's department of Injustice stating that the emperor's government was upset that STATE law-enforcement agencies weren't diverse enough.

Old news, right?  Shining diversity has been a goal for ages, right?

No, the emperor--through his cat's-paw deputy AG Vanita Gupta--was now demanding that state and local agencies must hire NON-citizens as gun-toting law-enforcement officers.

Yeah, you read that right:  demanding that STATE agencies hire NON-citizens.

Sure enough, the emperor has now fined the Denver County’s sheriff office because in a recent recruiting ad it said applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Naturally you can't believe that.  It's nuts.  Crazy.  But here's the statement right from the mouth of Diversity Enforcer Vanita Gupta:

"Eliminating this unlawful citizenship requirement will help ensure that the Denver Sheriff Department hires the best and most qualified individuals to protect and serve.  The entire community will benefit from these reforms."  --Vanita Gupta

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, employers are required to give equal treatment to non-citizens with valid work permits, unless state, local, or federal law explicitly requires certain jobs be open only to citizens.  Over 40 U.S. states have laws restricting non-citizens from being police but Colorado isn't one of them.

The sheriff's office said it didn't know a federal law made it illegal to require law-enforcement officers to be U.S. citizens.

Gupta's earlier "finding" blasted citizenship requirements for officers as a barrier to creating more racially diverse police forces.  “While Federal law allows law enforcement agencies to impose a citizenship requirement where it is authorized by state or local law, this requirement may prevent a considerable number of racial and ethnic minorities – many of whom have valuable foreign language skills – from being hired by law enforcement agencies,” the report said.

This statement inadvertently reveals the true agenda:  The finding uses the line "many of whom have valuable foreign language skills" as a rationale for hiring non-U.S.-citizens.  But think for a second:  Every area has U.S. citizens who speak any language you like.  They're trying to make you believe that hiring NON-citizens offers a special advantage that otherwise wouldn't be available.

This is crap.  Obvious crap.  It shows the true goal here.

Where does this idiocy end?  Will Democrats demand that the U.S. military accept all non-citizens who apply?  If so, what would prevent the emperor's diversity mullahs from mandating that the military offer every job equally to non-citizens.  Like, say, transporters of nuclear warheads.  Or cryptographic clearances.  Or interpreting satellite photos.

I can already hear liberals dismissing these questions with their usual contempt for consideration of obvious, predictable consequences of crappy federal decisions.  After all, how many of you would ever have believed--8 long years ago--that emperor hope-and-change would be demanding that state law-enforcement agencies hire non-citizens?

How many of you think hiring NON-U.S.-citizens for law enforcement is a great idea?   If you don't think it's a good idea, and your state doesn't have a state law restricting law-enforcement hiring to U.S. citizens you might want to call your state rep and tell 'em about what the feds just did to the Denver County sheriff's office.
