As Dems scream about any effort to replace even a small aspect of Obamacare (i.e. government-mandated insurance)...

As the Left and Dems continue to scream and shriek about the GOP attempt to correct the ghastly mess that is Obamacare, it might be helpful to read some quotes from one "Jonathan Gruber," the dick-head who created most of the law's operating "features."

This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scores the mandate as taxes the bill dies. So it’s written to do that… If you get a law that says healthy people are going to pay and sick people would get money, it would not have passed.

Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.  And basically--call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever--but basically that was really very, very critical to get the thing to pass.

So, Gruber--you lying sack of shit--the American people are stupid?  Well that sure applies to the folks who think that piece of crap you authored is a great thing.  Like most academics, you believe the key to making things work is government running it.  So how does that work in, oh, Venezuela?

Don't like that one?  Okay, how about Cuba?  Or do you claim they have a great health system there too?  U.K?  Canada?  How about...the Veterans' Administration hospitals?  How have those worked?
