39-yr-old female attorney smuggles cell phone to her jailed 19-yr-old client

There are so many goofy nut-cases in the country that I normally don't bother posting about 'em, but this one is...really out there.

A 39-year-old female attorney who was a public defender for a 19-year-old male awaiting trial for murder has been charged with smuggling a cell phone to her jailed client.

Julianne Colby was charged Friday with delivering the cell phone to 19-year-old Ce-Antonyo D. Kennedy, who was awaiting trial for murder.  Ce-Antono was charged with killing a 14-year-old.

In May a jury found Kennedy guilty of second-degree murder in the 14-year-old’s slaying.  He was was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors say the cellphone showed that Kennedy received and sent a number of sexual text messages on the illegal cellphone to his 39-year-old attorney.

The article goes on to quote several text messages in which the 39-year-old admits she "wants to be with" the murder suspect.  He asks if she's "freaky enough to give it to me in a jail visitation room."

Here's the convicted murderer:

How many times have we seen older females either smuggle contraband into jails or help their love interests break out?  Anyone else think it might be time to re-evaluate the practice of appointing women as public defenders for men?

Nah, didn't think so.  Instead let's put everyone at risk in the name of political correctness.
